Installer WindowBuilder dans Eclipse Indigo

Dans mes précédents articles  (installation and Hello World in Swing,  SWT Hello World), j'ai mentionné l'avenir de cet outils, comme partie d'un package Eclipse.

Vous pouvez maintenant télécharger, par exemple le package  Eclipse IDE for Java Developers, contenant Window Builder Pro

 

Installer WindowBuilder avec un autre package (update site)

Si vous voulez utiliser un autre package Eclipse, ne contenant pas WindowBuilder par défaut, vous avez la possibilité de l'installer en utilisant un "update site"


Après l'installation de votre package préféré d'Eclipse :

• Lancer Eclipse

• A l'Url suivante vous trouverez les adresses des sites d'update (update sites)

        http://www.eclipse.org/windowbuilder/download.php

• Un clic droit sur le lien Idigo link ->  Copy Link Location

• Sous le menu Help dans Eclipse ->  Install New Software

• Coller (Past) le lien copié dans le champs Work with  -> un clic sur  Add

• Donnez un nom dans Name au repository -> un clic sur  OK

• Il est possible de sélectionner tous les composants (voir note plus loin), ou de sélectionner les composants de votre choix -> Next

Note:
Dans Linux (Fedora 14), un message d'erreur est affiché si vous sélectionnez le composant eRCP Designer.

• Vérifiez les détails de l'installation -> Next

• Lisez les Licences

       Sélectionnez  I Accept the terms of the license agreement , puis un clic sur le bouton Finish pour lancer l'installation

Installation en-cours

• Relancer  Eclipse

Amusez-vous bien en utilisant WindowBuilder :)

WindowBuilder Pro in Indigo

In my previous posts (installation and Hello World in Swing, and SWT Hello World), about WindowBuilder Pro, I mentioned its future, as a part of one of Eclipse's Packages. Now this done.

You can download, for instance Eclipse IDE for Java Developers, with Window Builder Pro

 

Installing WindowBuilder with other packages (update site)

What if you want to use WindowBuilder with another package?
Pretty easy.

After installing your preferred package of Eclipse:

• Start Eclipse

• Go to the following url to find update sites urls:

        http://www.eclipse.org/windowbuilder/download.php

• Right click on Idigo link -> select Copy Link Location

• In Eclipse under Help menu -> click Install New Software

• Past the previously copied link in Work with field -> click on Add

• Give a Name of your choice to this repository -> click on OK

• You can select all components by clicking Select All (see note), or choose components of your choice -> Next

Note:
If you select eRCP Designer (on Linux), you get the following error.

• Verify the install details -> Next

• Review Licenses

       Select I Accept the terms of the license agreement , and Finish   button to Install

Installing Software

• Restart Eclipse
